Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Sunday Brunch in Geneva
Téséo serves from early morning until late, seven days a week, opposite Cornavin station. One à la carte menu runs right through the day so lunch dishes don't disappear at two, and dinner doesn't wait for seven. The cooking is cosmopolitan - Swiss classics, Mediterranean plates, Asian dishes - and the menu is wide enough that a table of six all find something they want. We cure and smoke our own salmon on site, which is where most of our regulars start.
Lunch
The business lunch is the reason half of Cornavin walks through the door between 11:00 and 14:00: a salad to start, the dish of the day, a coffee to finish, CHF 31. It changes daily and it arrives fast. If you'd rather build your own, the full à la carte menu is there too.
Dinner
Evenings are the quiet half of the day here. The room settles, the station lights come up across the square, and the noise of Cornavin stays on the other side of the glass. Our house-smoked salmon, as a plate of its own or as a tartare. Beef tartare alongside it, and a Caesar salad that has outlasted every menu change. The rest moves with the season and the market, and there's a dish of the day every evening. A dinner alone at the end of a working day, or a romantic table for two with the lights of the square behind you - both work here.
At the bar
Bar Téséo is where the day comes down a notch. Order a drink, add the arancini or the crispy vegetable tempura, and take the corner seat by the window. The full à la carte menu is served at the bar too, right through both service windows - so if one nibble turns into an appetite, a 180g beef steak, raclette cheese and rösti are all within reach.
Sunday brunch
Sundays fill the room. Some dishes rotate with the season, others would cause a riot if they left - and the Swiss section is the one nobody touches. It's the reason guests from abroad come down: a proper introduction to what Switzerland eats, without hunting for it across the city. CHF 62 per adult, CHF 31 for children under 12. It runs from September to June and booking is recommended.
